Electric Vehicle Chargers

Developed a ‘modular’ UI language that could be scaled to all product segments. These were the first chargers in EVBox’ portfolio with a screen. I aligned with Product Managers and Software Architects on the solution and set up the design team and way of working.

Three products shipped with this UI: Livo (domestic), Liviqo (commercial) and Troniq (high power).

This charger can be found in commercial parking lots like offices, restaurants, and parking garages.

Payment can be completed through mobile apps of various providers, with a charging card or in some cases by scanning a QR code.

Service providers want to white label the UI. Therefore it’s possible to customize the logo and accent color in the UI.

Scaling to other products

EVBox acquired a company for their high-power chargers.
I started a collaboration with their product and engineering team
to update their UI to match the EVBox brand look and feel.

Accessories

By measuring the electricity consumption at the grid connection, the charger can dynamically adjust how much it sends to the car. It can remove static safety buffers and therefore charge faster.

The Dynamic Load Balancing kit is installed by a technician. I helped design the labeling for an easy setup process.
